Happy Friday! It feels good to be back in the routine of blogging. The reason I was a little MIA last week is because it was my last week at my last job. I had to end sessions with all my wonderful clients, say goodbye to coworkers who have become friends, and of course do lots and LOTS of paperwork. And to tell you the truth, it’s also been an emotional week. I’m such an empath, that any change affects me quite powerfully, particularly when it is something I have invested a lot of time and effort into. I genuinely loved my job, my clients, and my supportive coworkers, so it should be no surprise that it is difficult for me to leave for a new opportunity. Yet the influx of emotions still caught me off guard and made this week challenging for me. I know I will grow from this change, but sometimes it is hard to put that into perspective. So I took it easy last week and tried to take a lot of time to reflect. Reflect on how I’ve grown, how I’ve changed. and the wealth of knowledge that I’ve learned. This week was the first week at my new job
So while I work on my transition, here are my favorites for the past week.
- This outfit makes me excited for Spring! Finding outfits that you help me transition from Winter to Spring is hard in the Midwest, but I love mixing and matching different pieces.
Everything except for the pants is from Nordstrom. I snagged mine during the anniversary sale in this gorgeous chestnut color. The jacket is no longer available in the chestnut color, but can be found here in this beautiful grey and white. This jacket gives you a nice, polished look and can be dressed down or up.
The top has adorable ruffle sleeves that are hard to see in this picture, but it will also be cute on it’s own. I sized down to a small in the top (I usually wear a medium). It comes in a number of fun spring colors.
I’ve always been a fan of the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace and as soon as I saw this blue/rose gold combination, I knew I had to have it. Rose gold is my absolute favorite and I love the contrast between the gold and blue in this style.
These Vince Camuto booties and have been marked down to under $90 for the past few weeks, not sure how much longer they’ll be on sale! I don’t usually wear booties these tall since I’m tall myself (5’9), but I made an exception to these. They instantly give your outfit a pop and and the whipstitching detail is everything! I’ll be rocking these all season.
The pants can be found here from Old Navy and they are actually jeggings. I didn’t think I liked jeggings until I became a Mom. Now anything with an elastic waistband is extremely appealing. But I don’t want to look frumpy. Enter Old Navy Jeggings. Let me tell you, these are LIFE-CHANGING. They look like super skinny jeans, but they have no buttons or zippers, just an elastic waistband. It is a little tighter than sweatpants, but still infinitely better than regular jeans. GAME CHANGER, I’m telling you. Best part is, no one will know. Unless you wear a crop top. But let’s be real, most of us Mom are not wearing crop-tops. They also come in a non-distressed version

2. Costco might be one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at, because there are SO many good finds there, that I never see anywhere else. Case in point, these Chickpea snacks. Oh my goodness, these put baked Cheetos to shame! This is probably the first vegan snack that I have truly loved. They are also gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free. Even my husband, who usually turns his nose at healthier snacks, gobbled these up.
3. The new Cleansing Milk from Beautycounter. As you may know, I recently became a Beautycounter consultant and I have been having so much fun trying all of their products. I’m still trying to figure out the best products for my particular type of skin (acne prone, but dry) and I think I may have struck gold with this cleanser. It is a unique consistency, something in-between a cream cleanser and a thin lotion. It does not lather, but it leaves me skin feeling very clean and calm afterwards. My breakouts have gone down significantly too! If you’re interested in learning more about this cleansing milk or trying to figure out which Beautycounter products are right for you, checkout my new skincare consultation here. Stay tuned of a giveaway I’ll be doing with this cleanser soon!
