It’s hard to believe that over year has gone by since Oliver was born and that we’re almost at the 4th of July. Last year, our 4th of July wasn’t much of a Holiday, more so it was a day I was glad to have my husband home from his job. We were deep in the trenches of having a newborn and to be honest, the fireworks were more of an annoyance than anything. I was desperately trying to sleep whenever possible, dealing with postpartum anxiety, and loud fireworks did not help! This year, I’m planning on maximizing my time with my guys and maybe grilling out with friends. Regardless of what we do, we have our patriotic gear ready!

Old Navy has always been one of my go-to places for patriotic gear; they have their famous flag shirts, but I’ve noticed the past few years, they’ve really expanded on their cute 4th of July clothing that is both stylish and patriotic. This year was no exception. I only purchased items for myself and Oliver, but they also have super cute stuff for men and girls!! Most of us have an Old Navy buy us and they typically have some great sales to get additional savings this time of year. Right now the whole store is on sale for up to 60% off!!

I’ve been hearing about Native shoes since before Oliver was born and we finally get to try them out! And I see why people are obsessed. They look nice, are lightweight, and clean like a breeze. I get mine from Nordstrom because of the superb customer service, including free shipping and the best return policy out there. They come in lots of fun colors, but Ollie’s Navy blue version here. Men’s Outfits

Hubby would not get in on the 4th of July fun, so you’ll have to see my outfit ideas for him (insert eye roll emoji). He usually likes clothes that are practical, so my picks for him are basics that can be worn year round. I threw in the palm T-Shirt for fun!

Side Note: Oliver clearly had his own agenda during this photo shoot and spent most of his time trying to do his own thing. It was quite comical. Towards the end, we gave up on involving him and you can see him photobombing one of my pictures.

The Perfect White Jeans

 

My jeans are actually from Nordstrom Rack and they are the Articles of Society brand. I heard about them from some ladies at my yoga class, and then as soon as I tried them on, I was hooked! Best part, they were only $36.97!! Unfortunately there’s only 2 sizes left (30, 31) here, but there’s another style from Articles of Society that is super similar and fully stocked in all sizes. See the non-distressed version here and the distressed version here. They are also marked down to $36.97!! Seriously contemplating buying a non-distressed pair.

 

My shoes are Sperry’s and they are SO comfortable!! Perfect if you’re on the go and just want to slip on some sneakers and dash. I have weird feet and usually need wide shoes, but these fit me just fine and did not hurt my feet at all. I bought mine from Macy’s here!
