Getting back to a monthly What’s Up Wednesday Post; I somehow completely did not have time to do one in February or March and now we’ve apparently fast-forwarded through April.
I always link up to Sheaffer Told Me To & Mix and Match Mama, as they are the OG What’s Up Wednesday bloggers.

What We’ve Been Eating
Actual home cooked food! I know! I’ve cooked more in the past month than I probably have in the past two years. And I’ve been enjoying it because I actually have the time to meal prep, look for recipes, and enjoy cooking. When I did get sick of cooking, I decided to try Sun Basket, a meal delivery service that provides farm fresh ingredients with fun and creative recipes. My favorite so far?! The Pad Thai! If you want to try out Sun Basket, use my code, “BLISS35 for $35 off of your first box.

Besides cooking, I’ve also been baking a lot of amazing things! I give all the credit to the recipes I’ve used, they are fool-proof and were all recommended to me by friends or other bloggers. And now I want to pass them along to you!
French Bread Recipe (I have nothing to compare it to, but I do think in the world of bread, this one is fairly uncomplicated to make)

Banana Bread Recipe – I know there are a ton of these going around, but this one is super easy and delicious! I added chocolate chips because you can’t go wrong with more chocolate!

What I’m Reminiscing About
A lot of things about our old life, but one big one, being able to go be near water. This is one of those times I wish my family lived on a small lake or near an ocean. Water has always been therapeutic for me and I love to be able to go be near a body of water. I had been planning to have my family go for a weekend away at a beach town in Michigan for Memorial Day weekend, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen right now. I do hope that before the end of the year, we get to travel to at least two places with water, even if it is a beach day at Lake Michigan in Chicago. Or maybe we’ll go kayaking/canoeing on our local river?!

What We’ve Been Up To
Spending a lot of time together as a family and that has been magical! I’ve also been on a quest to complete a lot of cleaning projects that I have been putting off for a long time. My family has been fortunate in that my husband’s company has been able to keep him employed, but he works shorter hours and I switched temporarily to a work from home position that gives me a lot of down time.

What I’m Excited About
I thought this question would be hard at first #becausequarantine, but I do have some things I am excited about. I am most excited about planting a vegetable garden. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but never made time for it. Now, working from home and in a slightly different role, I have time for it. We have a very small backyard because we live in a townhome, so I ordered this vertical planter to maximize space and I’m going to try to plant a few things on each level. Any gardening tips for me? Sound off in the comments, I need all the help I can get.

What I’m Watching
I’ve been marathoning Parks & Rec on Amazon Prime and really have come to love it! If you like the Office, you will definitely like this. What I didn’t like…Schitt’s Creek! A lot of people recommended it, but I could just not get into it. I also really want to watch Little Fires Everywhere, but cannot justify another subscription!

What I’m Wearing
Loungewear, lots and lots of it, leggings, comfortable clothes all day every day! What do jeans even feel like?! I put together a collage of my most worn items during quarantine below:

From Top Left:
Barefoot Dreams Blanket: Okay not loungewear, but essential if you want to be cozy working from home! A splurge, but I promise you, you’ll use it everyday!
Black sweats outfit: I only have the bottoms from this set, but the top has to be just as soft! These are incredibly soft on the inside and don’t dig in or ride up at all. They are Lou & Grey and if you are familiar with their line, you know how soft and comfortable they are. Bonus: They are both 40% off right now
Athleta Brooklyn Pants: Okay these are actually my favorite travel pants, but since we’re not travelling, I’ve been wearing these around the house. These are the most “put together” loungewear pants I have and perfect if you have to go to the grocery store or want to wear something other than leggings
Live-In Leggings: There is a reason these are called “Live-in” because you can very easily live in them. Perfect for working out or just wearing around the house, I find myself reaching for them time and time again.
White Camo Leggings: I picked these up most recently and love the white version of camo. These are great for holding everything in and and working out.

Pink Joggers: Picked these up while Jockey was having a sale and these are definitely the most pajama-like of these pants. Best for wearing around the house
Grey Puffed Sleeve top: This top is nice enough for Zoom calls, but comfortable enough to wear all day. I’ve been pairing mine with my Brooklyn pants when I want to feel more put together. I’m wearing it in the picture below and love how it looks together!

Tie Dye Top: This top is super-oversized, even when I sized down to a medium. It’s a fun, darker tie-dye print and I love to wear it when I just feel like wearing something a bit bigger.
Camo Top: This is an Amazon find from last year. It’s more lightweight and definitely perfect for wearing around the house. Love the pink camo too!

Windy City Sweatshirt: I know I’ve shared this one before, but it’s on heavy rotation in my closet. Helps me feel connected to Chicago even thought I can’t go there

That’s it for this week, let me know what you’re up to in the comments!
My husband makes Pad Thai and it is one of our family’s favourite meals. It’s sooo good! Yes, here’s hoping we all get some time by the water this year…
Yum, love Pad Thai!
