Gym Anxiety--Yes, it’s very much a real thing. It means to have a fear of working out because you are not fit enough or don’t feel confident enough with yourself. It is common with perfectionists or anyone who has spent the majority of their lives scrutinizing their bodies and how they believe that they are not good enough. This can often times turn into a vicious cycle. You don’t like the way you look, so you want to work out. But you don’t feel that you can work out around people, so you don’t go to the gym.
