Spring is in the air...kind of if you live in Chicago! Even though flowers are blooming, Mother Nature seems to have a different idea in Chicago. We are still having snow/rain every week, but bits and pieces of Spring are coming out. We are starting to spend more time outdoors as a family and my boys are itching to go on Spring adventures! Sometimes they are content running around and playing freely, but other times, structured activities and crafts are a perfect way to spend time outdoors. My boys love picking flowers for me and with the dandelions popping up everywhere, I thought it'd be fun to do a craft with them. I came across this dandelion activity on the Aloha Hut and thought it ... Read the Post

Baby’s First Dentist Appointment
This post is sponsored by Delta Dental of Illinois. All opinions are my own. Parents, you have survived the first year of your child's life and you are probably going through the checklist of what you need to do--maybe that includes ordering a smash cake, blowing up some balloons, and making sure you have your child's one-year well-child visit scheduled. But don't forget to also schedule your child's first dentist visit! It is extremely important and sets your child up for a lifetime of good oral health. Did you know that children should have their first dentist visit within 6 months of getting their first tooth and no later than age 1? However, according to a study by Delta Dental ... Read the Post

Fall Book Review
A crazy thing happened to me recently--I started reading again! Okay, I know, not that crazy. But considering I have two young kids, this is a big deal for me! I have always loved reading for fun and made it a priority in my life until a few years ago, when I was in the thick of motherhood and living in survival mode. I am still very much living in survival mode much of the time, but I have also started to prioritize things that make me happy, particularly reading. When I shared this news on my instagram stories, so many of you connected with this and were curious to know my thoughts on the books I'm reading. So I decided that a quick blog review is in order, starting with the three books I ... Read the Post
Tips for Traveling with Young Children
This article contains affiliate links, but all opinions are strictly my own. Now that the world is finally starting to open up, I am itching to travel again! Hawaii, Aruba, New York, Florida--so many places I want to go, but we do have two small children. My family currently has four year-old and 5 month-old boys, which means we do have to adapt our plans a little bit, but it does not mean we need to stay home until they're older. I saw a quote once that summarized traveling with children perfectly for me : "Deciding not to travel with your children when they are young 'because they won't remember' is a little like saying you're not going to read to your children because they won't ... Spectra vs. Elvie: A Review That’ll Pump You Up!
After a quick poll on my Instagram stories a few weeks ago and the interest it generated, I decided to do a side-by-side comparison of the Spectra and Elvie pumps. First, let me share that I am exclusively pumping right now, so I am pumping 5-7 times per day currently, and use my pumps often. I exclusively pumped with my first son from months 2-6 and have been exclusively pumping with my second child for the past month (he is two months old). I'll be sharing a little bit about my journey with pumping and breastfeeding, and then get into a comparison of these two pumps. Why I Became an Exclusive Pumper Before I had kids, I thought breastfeeding would come easily to me just because I ... Read the Post
